A recent donation to local health care means one less bed in need of an upgrade at Renfrew Victoria Hospital.
Renfrew Legion Branch 148 President Greg Walbeck recently met with representatives from the RVH Foundation to present the group with a $7,000 donation, which will go towards the purchase of a new Centrella Smart Bed.
In a social media post, the foundation sends a heartfelt thank you to the local legion, as well as the Ontario Command Branches & Ladies Auxiliary Charitable Foundation, for their support, noting that the long-standing partnership between the two sides “makes a real difference for patients right here at home.”
Speaking previously with myFM News, foundation director Patti Dillabough noted that among their major goals for 2026 would be to replace the entire slate of hospital beds currently in use inside the RVH dialysis unit.
