The Renfrew County District Health Unit has confirmed that one staff member at Tim Hortons in Renfrew has tested positive for COVID-19.
As we reported yesterday, the Health Unit was investigating several high-risk and low-risk contacts associated with a COVID-19 outbreak at Tim Hortons in Renfrew.
As a result, the Health Unit says Tim Horton’s management has voluntarily closed both restaurants to undergo a deep clean of the facilities.
All staff considered a close contact of the positive case have been directed to self-isolate and arrange for testing.
The Health Unit notes that all patrons (including those who dined-in and visited the drive-through) are not considered to be at risk.
That being said, they recommend all Renfrew County and District residents to self-monitor daily for COVID-19 symptoms.
