The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU) is investigating a number of high risk and low risk contacts associated a COVID-19 outbreak at Tim Hortons in Renfrew.
Acting Medical Officer of Health Doctor Robert Cushman says a very recent case worked at the Renfrew Tim Hortons within the infectious period.
Dr. Cushman says so far six high risk and five low risk contacts have been identified and staff are assessing a few more people who could be HR.
Cushman says the decision to close down Tim Hortons was made by management.
The Acting Medical Officer of Health says some employees were identified as HR and work at both locations, which is why both stores are closed.
