Enterprise Renfrew County is launching a COVID-19 Business Development Fund.
This will provide up to a $5,000 non-repayable loan per business and will focus on transformation strategies.
The COVID-19 Business Development Fund will assist businesses find new technologies, methodologies, or procedures that would assist them with adjusting to a new model of serving their customers.
Pembroke Mayor Mike Lemay says this fund will help support creative business owners to cover some of the expenses they will incur as they continue to transform, change and grow.
Chair of the County of Renfrew Development & Property Committee and Petawawa Mayor, Bob Sweet, says he is encouraged that many businesses have responded with innovation and creativity in transforming how they serve their loyal customers.
County of Renfrew Warden, Debbie Robinson, says as restrictions are lifted and our local economy rebounds, residents are encouraged to continue to shop local and support the business community.
Applications for the COVID-19 Business Assistance Fund will be are available now and will be received until July 3rd.
