The Warden of Renfrew County says everyone has worked extremely hard to flatten the curve and keep COVID-19 at bay in our municipalities.
Warden Debbie Robinson tells myFM we can all be proud of how we reacted during this pandemic. Robinson says local hospitals are not overrun with patients and she adds they created the Renfrew County Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre (RCVTAC) to connect residents with a physician without having to leave home.
Robinson encourages you to continue to support local businesses and to responsibly participate in the community. She adds while face masks are not mandatory, they are recommended by the health unit.
The Warden says County Council and the economic recovery task force are in the final stages of preparing a financial package that will be made available to various sectors of the local economy. Robinson adds they’ve also worked with the Community Futures Development Corporation to address funding needs of local entrepreneurs.
Robinson says the County of Renfrew will emerge from this pandemic and embrace our rural lifestyle, even if it is in a post COVID-19 manner.
