The three main contendors for the role of MPP in Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke faced off last night (Tues) at an all-candidates debate. Liberal candidate Jackie Agnew, New Democratic candidate Ethel LaValley and Progressive Conservative candidate John Yakabuski were all able to sound off on questions surrounding social well-being. One attendee, Lee Torvi says she attended the debate to feel out each candidate and see where the parties stood going into next month’s election.
Cheryl Chapeskie also attended to hear responses to issues that concern residents of Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke.
The questions mainly centered around affordable housing, supportive care for seniors, mental health services and day care options for families.
