Renfrew’s first ever Bluegrass Festival officially gets underway Friday at Ma-Te-Way at 5pm. With musicians and bluegrass lovers alike coming from across Canada and the US, Renfrew Councillor, Mike Coulas thinks this is a perfect opportunity to showcase Renfrew.
There will be horse drawn wagon rides along the Millenium trail to take festival goers downtown to explore and shop. Coulas says they’ve also set up a ‘jam tent’ out in the camping area for after hours music. Cost for the whole weekend, including camping, is 70 dollars, all day Saturday is 35 dollars, Friday and Saturday evening as well as Sunday are 20 dollars. A full list of ammentities and bands can be found in the festival’s facebook page.
