One of the best places to set up camp in all of Ontario is now under a complete fire ban. Algonquin Park officially declared a total fire ban as of yesterday (Tuesday), which effects all camp sites, hiking trails, picnic areas and cottages. In addition, charcoal or wood burning barbeques are also not permitted. Staff will be patroling the park by boat, plane and other vehicles to ensure people are respecting the ban. At this point, there is no timeline when the ban will be lifted.
