Horton Township has decided it will permit retail cannabis sales within the municipality. The decision came at Council’s meeting held January 8th. In a recorded vote, sales were narrowly authorized. The vote was 3-2. Voted for: Mayor Bennett, Councillor Humphries and Councillor Cleroux. Voted against: Deputy Mayor Campbell and Councillor Webster. However, the permission doesn’t necessarily mean the Township will receive one of the five licences slated for Eastern Ontario in the first phase of implementation.
