People still don’t seem to be getting the message about drinking and driving. On Thursday, Renfrew OPP were notified of a possible impaired driver on Highway 17 near Cobden around 6am. The driver turned onto Cobden Road, where police eventually pulled the vehicle over near the intersection of Highway 60 in Admaston Bromley Township. The male driver had been drinking the previous night and failed a roadside alcohol screening test. The 57 year old man will appear in Renfew court on December 19th. A few days later, OPP saw a vehicle pull a stunt Lochiel Street South in Renfrew around 2:30 in the morning. The vehicle was stopped and police quickly noticed the male driver had been drinking. He failed a roadside alcohol screening test and was arrested. The 19 year old from Admaston Bromley will appear in Renfrew court, also on the 19th.
