Three people are dead after a double-decker city bus struck a transit shelter in Ottawa this afternoon. There are reports more than dozen others were injured, many seriously. The accident took place just before 4PM, during Friday rush hour, at Westboro station. The Citizen quotes a witness as saying that the bus hit a patch of ice before jumping the curb and striking the bus station.
This wasn’t the only crash on the road Friday. Our newsroom also recieved reports of collisions at Godfrey Road and Highway 17 east of Cobden during the drive home. No word yet on injuries,
