Renfrew residents are taking full advantage of advanced polling as the election day draws near.
As of 9:00 am on Wednesday, October 21, 1,518 electors, 19.41% of all eligible voters, have already cast their ballot in the municipal election, with 83% of those votes made through the town’s online voting platform.
Town communications coordinator Hannah MacMillan says it’s exciting to see so many residents making their voices heard and bucking a trend of low voter participation being seen across the province.
Advanced polling continues online, as well as in-person from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Renfrew’s Town Hall this Thursday, October 22.
All the information you need is on the voter information packets that were sent out earlier this month, but MacMillan says town staff are ready to help anyone who has misplaced theirs or have yet to receive it in the mail.
The town’s Clerk’s Office is also available to answer questions or provide assistance at 613-432-4848 or by email. Contact the Town Clerk’s Office at clerks@renfrew.ca or call for assistance.
In-person voting will also be available on Election Day Monday, October 26, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
