One of three candidates for mayor in Admaston Bromley Township says there is a big challenge ahead for whoever wins the seat in the upcoming municipal election.
Keith Gourley, currently the township’s Deputy Mayor, says the financial situation facing Admaston Bromley concerns him.
Gourley says he’s spoken directly to provincial officials about his concerns on funding, particularly the loss of the farm tax credit.
Gourley says the long term plan for Admaston Bromley should be responsible population growth.
Gourley says his priorities also include attracting investment, improving waste management, protecting the farming community and improving roads and infrastructure.
Gourley has a business background as the long-time owner of Gourley’s Outdoors and is currently the President of the Renfrew and Area Chamber of Commerce.
He’s also been active in coaching youth sports.
He is joined on the ballot for mayor by fellow Councillors Kevin Legris and Brian Hamilton.
