CARE Animal Rescue is ready to help another group of local pet owners find affordable care for their furry friends.
The rescue is once again working with the Ontario SPCA & Humane Society’s Renfrew County branch to bring back their Neuter Scooter, a shuttle service sending local cats to cost-effective spay/neuter clinics outside the region, on Wednesday, October 7.
Healthy cats between 12 weeks and 5 years old will be transported to the Southeastern Ontario Spay Neuter Clinic in Trenton early that morning for a physical exam, nail trim, and same-day procedures before returning in the evening.
The cost for the procedure is $129.95 for male cats and $237.30 for female cats, tax included. Payment will be due on September 30. CARE Animal Rescue will pay for the transportation and provide a rabies vaccination at no extra charge.
Participating pets will be collected and dropped off at Renfrew’s Visitor Information Centre, 190 Mask Road, with exact times to be determined ahead of the day. Information about the neuter scooter and application forms will be available by emailing CARE Animal Rescue.
