A well-travelled section of road in Whitewater Region is about to undergo some major work.
Lapasse Road (County Road 49) will be rehabilitated from Lookout Road to Grants Settlement Road and that means there will be one lane closed on an alternating basis for a span of about two and a half weeks.
The County says the construction is expected to begin on September 21st and wrap up on or about October 9th.
A new wearing surface is being applied, and the county says there will be loose aggregate on the surface so drivers should be careful when passing through during construction.
