TODAY: The Ontario Fur Managers Federation presents the Rendezvous Renfrew Annual Trappers Convention weekend, starting this Friday at the Renfrew Days Inn. Hosted by the Renfrew Trappers Council, guests will take part in various demos around trapping and fur handling, black powder, and drones, meet with vendors, and more! Trapping games for youth and adults on site, plus rough camping options at the nearby fairgrounds. Doors open Friday at 9:00 am
TODAY: The Downtown Renfrew BIA presents the Heart of Renfrew Market every Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in July and August. Low Square will transform into a vibrant gathering place featuring local farmers, artisans, makers, and small businesses from across the Ottawa Valley. Plus, stick around for their weekly Music in the Square concert.
TOMORROW: Head in the wild woods of Renfrew this weekend with the Whitewater Gardeners Horticultural Society! Their Forage and Feast event heads to Elements Luxury camp, 793 Storyland Road, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 29. Learn how to identify wild edible and medicinal plants and fungi, make your own wild tea blend, and learn to harness the power of the wild to bring novel flavour experiences to your table.
