A new tenant is getting ready to take over the former Ultimate Fitness gym at Renfrew’s myFM Centre.
Q Cycle and Sport has been moving into the recently vacated space with plans to open in the near future. Owner Kyle Cybulski says the chance to bring his business to customers at the arena came up quickly as town staff began entertaining interest for the space after the gym closed its doors at the end of May.
Cybulski will also be expanding his business to provide a more complete pro shop service that the arena has been looking to add since its expansion in 2024, handling skate sharpening, hockey sticks, and accessories as the community takes to the ice this fall and winter.
The site will also be a hub for one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, as pickleball players will be able to stock up on equipment just a few steps from the town’s indoor and outdoor courts.
Cybulski, who is also a member of the town’s current council, expects the new storefront to open within the month.
