Planned roadwork just outside of Renfrew’s downtown corridor will close down a section of Raglan Street South starting next week.
The County of Renfrew is advising residents that crews will begin a culvert replacement project under the road, just down the hill from Subway, starting on Monday, August 17.
A road closure will be in place from Pine Avenue to the Millennium Trail for approximately two weeks, with construction expected to finish by August 28.
No through traffic will be allowed during the project, but local traffic will be permitted from either end of the closure. A signed detour will also be in place, taking traffic through Highway 60, Gillan Road, and Barnet Boulevard.
County and town officials thank those affected for their patience and ask the community to plan alternate routes during the closure.
