Renfrew County’s showcase of the people, products, and experiences that make the region unique is ready for another tour of the Ottawa Valley.
Taste of the Valley will showcase hundreds of local farmers, food producers, artisans, and creators across five stops throughout the county, starting with their season debut at the Railway Station Museum in Barry’s Bay on Saturday, August 8.
Scott Hamilton, the economic development coordinator for the County of Renfrew, says the event has become a much-anticipated tradition for participating communities since it launched over a decade ago.
Residents and visitors will have the opportunity to explore and connect directly with an estimated 60 vendors at the Barry’s Bay event, featuring local produce and prepared food, handcrafted goods, artwork, and cultural experiences.
Hamilton says one of the best things about Taste of the Valley is that each of the free events runs from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, allowing it to fit perfectly with the rest of your weekend plans.
Taste of the Valley 2026 events are being held in partnership with host municipalities across the county:
- Township of Madawaska Valley – August 8, Railway Station Museum, Barry’s Bay
- Township of Admaston/Bromley – August 22, Douglas Recreation Centre
- Town of Petawawa – September 19, Petawawa Civic Centre
- Township of Whitewater Region – October 17, Cobden Fairgrounds
- Town of Renfrew – December 12, Holiday Edition, Renfrew Armouries
