The Renfrew Lions Club is being praised for the work being done at their local dog park.
Town staff have extended their appreciation to a group of volunteers from the club who recently gave their time to finish repairs to the main entrance to their dog park, which is located inside Ma-te-Way Park.
Speaking previously with myFM News, Lions Club member Diana Larocque noted that the project was one of two major items on their to-do list since the start of the year.
The Renfrew Lions Club Dog Park is the only public space in town where dogs are allowed off-leash, making it an invaluable space for local pet owners since it was established more than a decade ago.
Renovations at the dog park were made possible in part by a $5,000 grant from the town.
