Renfrew Victoria Hospital wants the community to put their health to heart with a new partnership set for the end of the month.
The hospital is partnering with the University of Ottawa Heart Institute as part of the One Million Canadian Hearts initiative to offer free heart health screenings on Tuesday, June 30.
Patients will undergo a brief assessment, blood pressure check, rapid blood test, and speak with healthcare officials about the results and recommendations to improve or maintain their health. Older patients may also receive an electrocardiogram or a mini heart ultrasound.
The initiative is by appointment only and open to adults aged 18+ with no known heart conditions. Sign up online or by calling 613-696-7071.
