The Town of Renfrew has appointed a new Director of Community & Recreation Services.
Cara Lemkay starts work at town hall on Monday (June 22nd), and town officials say they look forward to the experience, leadership and enthusiasm she will bring to the role.
Lemkay, originally from Whitewater Region, has more than 10 years of experience in parks, recreation, and community services.
She has worked with rural municipalities across Eastern Ontario building extensive expertise in recreation programming, facility management, community development, and municipal operations.
In addition to her municipal experience, Lemkay has worked as a recreation consultant and college professor.
