Pride celebrations brought Renfrew residents and guests from across the Ottawa Valley into the community over the weekend.
The Town of Renfrew’s annual Colour FUN Run saw runners of all ages making their way through the town on Saturday morning in support of the Renfrew Public Library and Renfrew PRIDE, with runners making their way along the Millennium and Algonquin Trails.
Multiple colour stations along the 3.5 kilometre route covered runners in coloured chalk, making everyone a vibrant canvas of purple, blue red and green as they made their way to Low Square to join Renfrew PRIDE’s 5th Annual Pride Picnic.
With dozens in attendance, local organizations and community members congregated to celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Free food, refreshments, and games, the event raised funds for both Renfrew Pride and pflag Canada Renfrew County to help them keep doing what they do best.
