Renfrew County has some work to do as the Silver Chain challenge enters its second leg.
County staff are looking to rally their communities as they lag behind the annual June challenge, which encourages people to walk, run, hike, and actively explore what the region has to offer and log the distance travelled.
The team that travels the furthest by the end of the month will earn the bragging rights of being the most active and engaged community.
Lanark County leads by a little more than 4,000 total kilometres travelled as the challenge approaches the second half of June, but there is still time to close the gap.
Participants are encouraged to track their progress on the Silver Chain challenge website and share their adventures on social media using the hashtags #RenfrewCounty (or #LanarkCounty) and #SilverChainChallenge.
