Friends of the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation made another big splash at their RVH Golf Classic.
Patti Dillabough, the foundation’s executive director, welcomed a full house to the Renfrew Golf Club on Friday, June 12, as the weather cleared just in time for the 42 teams of golfers on-site to celebrate the estimated $63,500 raised in support of the #EquipRVH campaign.
Dillabough is also appreciative of the fact that people continue to recognize the importance of funding capital equipment purchases at the hospital, who do not receive government funds for them, and are still willing to help them reach their goals even in uncertain financial times.
Part of what made this year’s event such a success was the hospital’s Legacy on the Green tribute, which gave the broader community the opportunity to honour the 100 years of growth and innovation at RVH since the hospital was rebuilt following a 1926 fire.
Planning for next year’s Golf Classic will get underway soon, and Dillabough says she and her team are always looking for ways to bring something different to the event every year.
