UPDATE 10:30 am: An early morning fire in McNab/Braeside has reportedly left one resident without a home.
Township Fire Chief Dave Hartwick says around 15 firefighters from all three local stations responded to the blaze on Burnstown Road, which was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived during the overnight hours of Wednesday, June 10.
The owner of the home was woken up by his fire alarm and was able to get outside and call 911 from a neighbours house.
Chief Hartwick reminds the community to check their smoke alarms regularly.

myFM has received reports of a fire that has engulfed a home along Burnstown Road early in the morning on Wednesday.
According to those reports, firefighters were on the scene as of around 4:00 am on June 10 as the fire continued to burn.
They also suggest that the person inside the home was okay, but the home itself was lost to the blaze. Neither claim has yet to be confirmed.
