12 year-old Arnprior resident John Lepack recently served a stint as a Legislative Page at Queen’s Park.
Getting the job involves a little self-promotion.
The tenure of a page in the role is short- and not all of it is work.
John Lepack says it’s a job for which you can pack a light suitcase, as some of the uniform is provided.
Because the ratio of pages per member is 1:1 there’s quite a contingent of Pages serving all at once.
He says most of the Pages picked call the GTA home, because it isn’t that far to travel to work.
Lepack invited sponsors to help subsidize him in the role, and he’d like to thank them
His assessment of the experience?
As part of the experience, each page gets lunch with their sitting MPP; there’s only 13 years age difference between he and MPP Billy Denault.
