TODAY: Looking for a meaningful way to spend the upcoming PA Day? Give your child the confidence and skills they need to stay safe. McNab/Braeside hosts the Canadian Red Cross’ Stay Safe Course at the Murray Yantha Centre this Friday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. $70 plus tax, register online.
TODAY: The Renfrew Public Library is hosting a stuffy checkup clinic during the Friday PA Day. From 10:00 am to noon on May 15, kids aged 2 to 10 can bring their favourite stuffy in for a full checkup! Library staff will check their size, heart, and make sure they’re healthy. Participants will go home with a lollypop for their bravery!

TOMORROW: The Ottawa Valley Slopitch Leagues Invitational takes over the ball diamonds inside Renfrew’s Ma-te-Way Park this Saturday! Teams from across Ottawa and the Valley will square off in a one day tournament for bragging rights and the Championship trophy!
TOMORROW: The Royal Canadian Legion Poker Run Fundraiser gets underway this Saturday, supporting Legion branches in Renfrew, Cobden, Eganville, and Petawawa. Riders will take off from Renfrew’s Visitor Information Booth on Mask Road at 10:00 am before travelling to each legion and back to pick up cards. Prizes available for the best five card hand, plus a 50/50 draw and a BBQ at the Information Centre until 3:00 pm.
