The Renfrew OPP has released more information about their ongoing investigation into a suspicious death in Calabogie.
Officers were first sent to a call for service on Lanark Road just before 6:00 pm on Wednesday, May 6, where one person was located deceased.
Investigators believe this is an isolated incident with no signs of a broader threat.
The Renfrew County OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate and is actively monitoring the situation under the direction of the Criminal Investigation Branch, alongside the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service and OPP Forensic Identification Services.
Residents of the area can expect an increased police presence while their investigation continues.

According to listener tips, a heavy police presence was seen at two homes along Lanark Road as early as 8:00 pm on Wednesday and again on Thursday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the OPP says they were given information about a potentially serious matter, but now believe that there is no threat to public safety at this time.
