Burnstown’s Neat Cafe is set to welcome a legend of Canadian music to the stage next weekend.
Owner Mark Enright says presenting Paul Langlois of The Tragically Hip fame for two shows fresh off their induction into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame is pretty cool as a promoter, considering that he’s had the pleasure of meeting the rest of the band, save for late frontman Gord Downie.
Tickets have already sold out for both May 15th and 16th. We asked Enright what the standing-room-only crowd can expect when the lights go up.
Langlois is another in a long line of remarkable Canadian performers who have performed at the Neat Cafe since Enright and his business partner took over in 2017. He considers it a point of pride to have built strong relationships with both established and up-and-coming acts over the years.
Langlois and the Hip will officially enter the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame with a ceremony in Toronto on September 26th.
