Renfrew's Fire Department taking part in the town's all-day training session on April 30th
If you had to wait a day to speak with town staff in Renfrew last week, there’s a good reason why.
Renfrew closed most of its municipal buildings and services on Thursday, April 30th, as part of an all-day training session at the myFM Centre, which Communications Coordinator Hannah MacMillan describes as an opportunity for town staff to reflect and refocus as a team.
Acting CAO Eric Withers led staff through the town’s road plan to 2035, discussing policy updates and where the town and each department stand in its long-term goals.
MacMillan adds that the clerk’s department was also eager to speak with staff with the 2026 municipal election fast approaching and prospective councillors already beginning to declare their intentions to run.
Town services returned to their usual operations following the meeting and are expected to continue without complications until their next all-day meeting next year.
