The Miller family leads hikers into town during the Hike for Hospice 2026
Hospice Renfrew’s biggest annual fundraiser took over the streets of Renfrew for another successful Sunday afternoon.
This year’s Hike for Hospice saw dozens of teams and countless individuals band together to raise $95,821 for the hospice, a total that volunteer coordinator Debroah Coelho says underlines just how reliable their supporters have been as they continue their mission to provide quality end-of-life care for patients.
Among the guests of honour that afternoon were the Miller family, who led hikers from the hospice into the downtown core and back in remembrance of the late Ralph, just one of many guests the hospice is proud to have served.
The hike remains an important event for the six-bed palliative care facility, as their ability to provide 24/7 care for patients from across Renfrew County relies on the community’s support.
Hospice Renfrew’s board of directors is expected to reconvene at the end of May, where planning for the 2027 hike will begin.
