The County of Renfrew is looking forward to continuing their partnership with the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan after their recent election.
County Warden Jennifer Murphy has extended congratulations to Chief Greg Sarazin and all members of the newly elected council following their March 28th vote, adding that the election represents the strength of the community and its leadership.
She says the county deeply values the relationship being built with the First Nation and is committed to the spirit of truth and reconciliation—grounded in listening, learning, and taking meaningful action.
County officials look forward to strengthening their partnership, advancing shared priorities, and working together to support the well-being of all communities.
