Businesses from across the Ottawa Valley will gather in Renfrew this week for an important event hosted by the Renfrew and Area Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber president Keith Gourley says their annual general meeting and networking breakfast at the Renfrew Golf Club on Tuesday, March 20th, will highlight the many entrepreneurs from Renfrew, Horton, Greater Madawaska, and Admaston/Bromley who rely on their advocacy and networking opportunities to thrive as part of a rural community.
Attendees will also hear from Jennifer Layman, owner of the Forward Thinking Marketing Company, who will deliver the morning’s keynote discussion on how local businesses can learn from their competitors to create an advantage, something Gourley says will be crucial as markets continue to evolve.
Chamber members will remain after the breakfast to review their budget for the upcoming year and map out the next stage of the organization’s strategic plan.
Gourley says the focus moving forward will centre on growth, retention, and engagement.
The Chamber will also elect its board of directors for the coming year, with two seats currently vacant.
Tickets are $30 per person for members and $35 for non-members, available through the Chamber. The breakfast gets underway 7:30 am that morning, with the guest speaker starting at 8:00 am.
