The Renfrew County District Health Unit is taking the next step towards suspending students who don’t have up-to-date immunizations. The Health Unit announced today (Monday) that in the coming days, all students who haven’t met immunization requirements will get a second notice along with a suspension order. If the health unit doesn’t have updated immunization records or a valid exemption by April 15th, the affected students will be suspended. The Health Unit says suspensions will be lifted immediately once students have proof of vaccination.
If you receive a suspension order, parents and guardians are asked to take the following
steps:
1. Contact your health care provider to obtain any missing immunizations.
2. Submit updated immunization records to RCDHU using one of the following methods:
o Online: ICON tool Immunization Connect Ontario Tool
o Email: immunization@rcdhu.com
o Fax: 613-735-3067
o Phone: 613-732-9436 or 1-833-773-0004
If you do not have a health‑care provider, you may book an appointment at an RCDHU
School Immunization Catch‑Up Clinic by visiting the main Immunization webpage and
selecting the Online Booking link. Clinics are available at multiple locations across Renfrew
County.
If you experience barriers—such as transportation challenges, difficulty accessing a provider,
or technology issues—please contact the immunization line at 613‑732‑9436 or 1‑833‑773‑0004.
RCDHU will work with you to find a solution.
