An 82-year-old Pembroke man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle on Highway 401 on Sunday. Ontario Provincial Police say a vehicle with a flat tire was stopped in a live lane of the highway in Quinte West when a passenger got out of the vehicle and was struck by a second vehicle. The man was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.
