Town staff in Renfrew will give residents a chance to be part of the process as they go over the blueprint for the community’s future.
Renfrew residents are invited to take part in either of two open house sessions regarding the review of the town’s official plan happening inside the Council Chambers at Town Hall from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and again from 5:00 to 7:00 pm this Tuesday, March 3rd.
The official plan provides a framework for how the municipality expects to grow to meet the community’s present and future needs, including land use, housing, and infrastructure like roads, parks, trails, and other services.
Provincial legislation requires the effectiveness of an official plan to be regularly examined to ensure the town is meeting its strategic goals by improving and enhancing local policy.
Tuesday’s open houses, hosted by the town’s consultants at JP2G Consulting, will be drop-in sessions with no formal presentations.
Find the Town of Renfrew’s official plan on the municipality’s website.
