New infrastructure investments are making it easier for Ottawa Valley residents to make the jump to an electric vehicle.
Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MPP Billy Denault recently joined County Warden Jennifer Murphy, as well as county councillors and staff, to officially open a dozen new publicly accessible electric vehicle chargers located at their administration buildings in Pembroke and Renfrew.
Each site has been fitted with six charging stations thanks to support from the Ministry of Transportation’s Electric Vehicle Charge-On Program, an investment that the county says represents an investment into “our residents, our visitors, and our future.”
They add that “by expanding local EV infrastructure, we’re helping reduce range anxiety and supporting a more sustainable Renfrew County.”
