Winter programming from the Save the Grove Again Committee consists of monthly coffee houses at Cafe Tilda on 158 John Street North in Arnprior.
That’s Committee Chair Lacey Smith, who says Katie’s message struck a resonant chord with her committee’s objectives.
Save the Grove Again is concerned that a possible development on 20 acres of land formerly owned by the Galilee Centre will stunt the future of the old growth forest next door.
The next get-together comes up towards the end of this month.
Lacey gives us a precis of how Marshall comes to his knowledge.
Indeed Carleton Place, a community of similar size with a growth rate that compares with Arnprior’s already has an Urban Forest and River Corridor Advisory Committee in place
Lacey Smith says Buchanan is no stranger to the local situation- he’s consulted for the Town on one of its initiatives.
Lacey says the local committee is made up of residents who love Gillies Grove and what it represents to the community
The February 26th event is open to all.
Cafe Tilda is located at 158 John Street North in Arnprior.
