Local police are reminding commuters that this weekend’s snowy conditions were not the place for excessive speed on the road.
That advice comes after officers in Arnprior caught a vehicle travelling through two separate intersections at high speed late in the evening on Friday, February 6th.
The Renfrew OPP say the driver now faces a careless driving charge, which comes with a $490 fine and 6 demerit points if convicted.
They’re asking the community to slow down on snowy and icy roads, adding that conditions can change quickly and it’s the driver’s responsibility to adjust accordingly.
