The Renfrew detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision on Highway 17 that claimed the lives of two drivers.
Police say officers were called shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday to a reported head-on crash involving a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle between Anderson Road and McCallum Drive in the Township of McNab/Braeside.
A 55-year-old man from Renfrew and a 71-year-old man from Ottawa were pronounced dead at the scene.
Highway 17 remains closed between Anderson Road and Goshen Road as investigators work to determine the cause.
OPP are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
