About a month ago on Saturday, Nov. 29, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of McLachlin St. North and Elgin St. West in Arnprior.
Renfrew OPP said the victim was hit by a trailer being towed by an older model “beat up, dark-coloured” pickup truck.
The trailer is described as being an open aluminum design.
Police said the truck did stop briefly after the incident, but later fled the scene and did not check on the pedestrian they hit.
The victim was taken to the hospital and had injuries including bruising and swelling.
