Last weekend Cobden hosted their Santa Claus Parade.
Children and families lined Astrolabe and Main to shout with all their Christmas cheer for the myFM Community Cruiser to hear.
Whitewater Region Fire Department was also a part of the parade with their dazzling fire engines shining their red emergency lights in festive celebration.
Joel Brydges, Fire Captain for Whitewater Region Fire Department’s Station 1 (Haley Station), said it’s all about showing the community that the fire department is there for them.
Despite the winter’s chill Brydges said seeing the Cobden community out in full force to celebrate the holidays was quite the spectacle.
Excited kids were also part of the parade itself.
The Grace United Church’s Sunday School group was sailing the asphalt on their Noah’s Ark-themed float, and member Emily McKenzie said it was a great opportunity to see the group and the community smile.
Be sure to catch upcoming Santa Claus Parades in the Ottawa Valley, such as Dec. 6 which will have parades in Renfrew and Beachburg.
