Renfrew CAO Gloria Raybone (left)
The Town of Renfrew posted to their Facebook on Nov. 27, that Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Gloria Raybone will be leaving her position effective immediately.
The town said on their notice that “this change follows discussions among Council regarding the skillset desired to support the Town’s direction and operational requirements moving forward.”
County Warden and acting Town of Renfrew Mayor, Peter Emon, said the decision wasn’t based on anything “actionable.”
Emon said the discussions surrounding the decision went well and council was able to effectively work together to come to a conclusion.
While the town has yet to reveal a concrete reason as to why Raybone was let go, Emon said it probably has to do with a change in vision.
Despite the hole in council waiting to be filled, Emon said the town will take their time in finding a person that fits the role.
He said in the time being other council members may take on some of the CAO duties.
