Sometimes, all it takes to be a hero is a little bravery under pressure.
The County of Renfrew Paramedic Service is joining local police and firefighters in celebrating 9-year-old Chase Fleming, who was recently recognized by the Town of Petawawa and Mayor Gary Serviss for his courage and quick thinking in calling 9-1-1 when his grandmother suffered a medical emergency.
Chase met with officials from the town and local emergency services, who presented him with a commendation for his actions, while town staff noted that the community is proud of his bravery and caring heart.
