Light of the Square 2024 enjoyed a bright, if snowless, evening as residents gathered to enjoy the start to the festive season outside Renfrew Town Hall (Downtown Renfrew BIA photo)
Excitement is building as the town of Renfrew gets into a more festive spirit later this month.
Janyne Fraser, the town’s programs supervisor, is proud to be working with the Downtown Renfrew BIA and Renfrew Food Bank for the Light Up the Square bash and Heart of Renfrew holiday market, as local holiday celebrations kick off officially with more than just a pretty display outside Town Hall on November 29th.
Fraser is also thrilled with the interest from the community in making spirits bright in time for the annual Santa Claus Parade, which Fraser says has plenty of momentum leading up to what should be a magical evening along the downtown core on December 6th.
Communications Coordinator Hannah MacMillan adds that residents can get all of the details on upcoming winter fun and other important town happenings through their new smartphone app, which she says more and more residents are taking advantage of.
More information on the app, as well as how to take part in the upcoming Santa Claus parade, can be found on the town’s website.
