Renfrew’s curlers are expecting friends from near and far as November marks one of their busiest months at the clubhouse.
Rink President Keith Moss says that, on top of a major cash bonspiel that will line the pockets of the winners nicely later this month, the rink will also make time for old pals from overseas dropping by for a few ends later this week.
Moss adds that Tuesday, November 25th, is also their senior men’s players’ time to shine as they bring the community to their Xavier Street facility early in the morning for a fundraising effort that has very quickly become recognized by their peers in the curling world.
That commemoration comes after Moss and company took a gamble on nominating the whole group behind the Senior Men’s Breakfast rather than just one member, getting some extra attention from Curling Ontario that left the Renfrew rink thrilled to bits.
Community members can enjoy the now award-winning breakfast for $10 a plate by stopping by the Renfrew Curling Rink between 7:00 and 10:00 am on November 25th.
