After 26 years and counting of doing house calls for patients looking for relief, Mark Peever of Whitewater Physiotherapy is still making an impact across the Ottawa Valley.
Peever, who broke out on his own as an self-employed physiotherapist in 2013 after many years working on contract, first set up a permanent clinic in Cobden in 2022 and has been working alongside fellow physiotherapist Lily Freemark and assistant Nicole Lewis to improve the well-being of patients from every inch of Renfrew County.
He says properly treating a patient can only be built by showing an ability to listen to what’s ailing each individual case and building realistic goals for recovery, adding that building trust takes time but is critical to the process.
Peever says running a small business that has such positive results for friends, neighbours, and people across the community is a rewarding experience, although it has come with some necessary sacrifices.
Potential patients can consult their website for a complete list of therapy services and book a house call or an appointment at their Cobden-based clinic.
