Police in Renfrew are looking for more information following one of two fatal collisions that happened in the area on Tuesday afternoon.
An investigation is ongoing following a collision involving a car and a pickup truck that closed off Highway 17 in both directions from Chenaux Road to Bruce Street for several hours starting at 12:45 pm on September 30th.
The driver and passenger of the car, two women from Vals-Des-Monts, Quebec aged 54 and 78, were taken to a local hospital before being pronounced dead. Meanwhile, the lone driver in the pickup truck was not injured.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact the Renfrew OPP detachment or Renfrew County Crime Stoppers.
