TODAY: The Bonnechere Algonquin First Nation and the Town of Renfrew will recognize the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation with a special morning event at the myFM Centre this Tuesday, September 30th. The community is welcome to drop by between 9:30 am and noon for a free presentation of local Indigenous culture, including traditional drumming and crafts.
TODAY: Every Tuesday this fall and winter, the Renfrew Legion is hosting weekly cornhole league from 6-10pm. 4 person teams, $540. Each league is 27 weeks, with a year-end tournament in April, and cash prizes at end of year. For further information or registration, please call Sean at 613-915-3506.
TOMORROW: Ever wanted to try curling? Now’s your chance! Renfrew Curling Week is the perfect time to drop in, throw some rocks, and see what this amazing sport is all about. No fees, gear, or experience needed. Just sign up on the Renfrew Curling Club’s website to join them at 195 Xavier Street during the day or evening September 29th, October 1st, or October 3.
TOMORROW: The Arnprior/McNab/Braeside Seniors at Home program presents a full course luncheon event at The Arnprior Legion on Wednesday, October 1st from 12-2pm. Tickets are $12 each available from the agency office until noon on Friday Sep 26th.
